Hello! I am Julie Borum, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have served as a medical social worker in one of Polk County’s finest medical institutions for over twenty years and for the past eleven years on inpatient mental health units for adults and adolescents.

I have also served as a professional school counselor at a dual enrollment charter school for high school students pursuing college credits and I have been an independent educational consultant for seven years. I have assisted a diverse group of patients, clients, and students from many different religious and ethnic backgrounds and various academic achievement levels, including patients and students with medical and learning disabilities.

I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) a therapy used to treat PTSD and other anxiety disorders. I am a trauma informed therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I pride myself on being an advocate for patients, students, and clients and will always represent my client’s best interest with the utmost integrity and professionalism.

I work with ages 13 years old and older.
